Umm, hi.
I'm back, heh. Seattle was wonderful, Leslie and Adam and Zennie and Shadow were wonderful. The wedding was wonderful. Most everything was fabulous except the flight out and especially the flight back. Those sucked some major ass.
Now that we're back home, we're planning to move out to Redmond, probably in August. More on that as we move towards it.

Stole is done
Still need to make minor alterations on the top, and i still need to hem the skirt. I know, I know, don't wait too late to start.
Need to pick up drycleaning, go to the bank, go to walmart or target or something, go to dinner, continue doing laundry and packing.
Tomorrow morning, I'm going to get up, mow the lawn take the trash out to the can, shower, dress and pack toiletries.

Tick tick tick
The jacket, pants and shirts are at the cleaners, finally and will be ready tomorrow after 5. Debating sending my skirt in, but I think I'll just wash it.
I haven't worked on anything today yet, but the day is young. Tomorrow is going to suck, but I want to get the animals out of here as quickly as possible. I called to confirm the boarding is for tomorrow through 5/19, so everything is good on that front.

Done
The top is done -- a few minor adjustments need to be made, but for the most part it is finished.
Stole tonight. Hemming tomorrow. Then it's done :)

The ever-changing list of things to do:
Marriage license:
get money order for marriage license (DONE)
get form notarized (DONE)
send to seattle via fedex with tracking (DONE)
call to set up a time for wedding: 4:30pm, thursday may 12th, 2005 (DONE)
Dress:
order patterns (DONE)
find someone to talk to re: embroidery
order swatches (DONE)
deconstruct lane bryant shirt -- not really necessary
buy seamripper (DONE)
choose fabrics (DONE)
figure out design (DONE)
buy notions and trim (DONE)
cut and sew -- 75% completed
Suit:
have drycleaned
check to see if tie matches
check to see if white shirt fits (DONE)
Rings:
figure out platinum vs white gold (DONE)
get sized (DONE)
find diamond (DONE)
decide on setting (DONE)
order the: solitaire (DONE)
richard's band (DONE)
my band (DONE)
Flowers:
calla lilies for me (DONE)
organic/pesticide free flowers for cake
buy ribbons to tie the bouquet (DONE)
Cake:
order pans -- not making a big cake now
figure out recipe - DONE (oh the power of cake mix)
gather cooling racks etc to send to leslie's, send extra bowl out -- no need
find cheap kitchenaid mixer for leslie -- no need
make sure lellie has a 9x13 pan
get tier sized rounds to cut out mini cakes
CUPCAKES!
figure out filling and icing recipe -- can be done on the fly
make test cake at home -- yeah right!

still need to:
iron all seams flat
sew lining
iron lining seams
pin in piping
sew lining to the front at bottom with the piping.
turn rightside out
tack in sleeves
sew top edge.
figure out stole length and width.
cut dupioni, charmeuse, and interfacing to the same dimensions
sew, clip corners and turn.
sew edge.
mark and hem skirt.
iron.
hang in garment bag
Kitchen:
clean out fridge.
check counters for anything with rot potential
gather all dishes and wash and put away
Living room:
get rid of boxes.
clean off dining room table
get stuff moving to storage
basement:
fold up carpet and take out
get rid of boxes brought in from shed
bedroom:
finish cleaning bathroom
dump kitty litter

Two small bags of garbage from my office so far, and started gathering miscellaneous wedding crap that needs to go to seattle.

and I know I will, "where are the rings?" The answer is: in the clear plastic box along with the rest of the stuff that needs to go to Seattle, in Richard's office on the trashcan by the door.

Things to do tomorrow
Gather suit coat and pants and take to cleaners. Make sure we can get them back on Monday.
Cut pieces for top: think of how to lay out the pattern so the silky side is out on the finished product.
Box things for fedex and send out before 5pm
clean trash out of office.
start a suitcase of things that need to go to seattle for the wedding.
